Working on a Janie Crowfoot blanket and need a little help with the patterns, stitches or joining? Come along to our relaxed crochet support session at Flamin’ Good Crafts.
This is a friendly, informal workshop designed to help you work through sections of your blanket with guidance and support throughout the session. Perfect if you’ve hit a tricky part, fallen behind, or simply want to crochet alongside others
During this two-hour session, you’ll learn how to weave a beautiful plaid table mat using handspun yarn in your choice of colours. Ruth will guide you through the process step by step, with plenty of support throughout the workshop.
You’ll be provided with everything you need, including a cardboard weaving loom, handspun yarn for both warp and weft, refreshments and full tuition. At the end of the class, you’ll be able to take your loom home so you can continue practising and developing your weaving skills.
This workshop is suitable for all abilities, including complete beginners.

Join us for a creative and relaxing textile art workshop where you’ll learn how to create your own beautiful felt landscape using a combination of wet felting, needle felting and simple embroidery techniques.
Guided step-by-step throughout the session, you’ll build texture, colour and detail to create a unique piece inspired by natural landscapes. Your finished artwork can be framed, mounted onto a card or even turned into a bookmark.
Suitable for beginners as well as those looking to try a new craft in a friendly and welcoming environment.
